Computer MD
Computer MD exists to provide quality, simplified information technology services to home and small office users. In many cases, work is performed at the customer's location.
As I see it, home users (personal or telecommuters) as well as very small office users don't have the same needs as businesses that have several employees and run servers that perform several functions for the company. I hope to fill that need for those people.
My initial goal for Computer MD is to attain a consistent supplemental income while pursuing full time, permanent employment. Presently, I do not foresee this business becoming a full time activity. At this time, I perceive that traditional full time employment affords me better development opportunities and access to benefits like health insurance.
As for full time employment: I am only discussing "direct hire" opportunities. This means no technical recruiting agencies. Contract employment scenarios, whether it was W2 or 1099 based have failed to provide an environment where the employer "has said what they would do, and did what they said they would do." My opinion is that these employers do not value their employees, because the relationship is not expected to be long term.
Quality of life - " work / life balance" has become a central issue when discussing future relationships.
